SEMINOLE, Okla. – The All-Region men's basketball teams were announced for Region 2, and three Aggies were recognized for their success on the court this season.
Bol Agu earned First-Team honors, while
Elijah Tshibangu and
Brandon Ivery earned spots on the Second-Team. Tshibangu was also named the Freshman of the Year.
Bol Agu has been a force for the Aggies this season. Agu averaged 15.5 points per game while collecting a team-best 5.9 rebounds per contest. The sophomore forward also shot a team-high 85.4% from the charity stripe on 117 makes.
Elijah Tshibangu stuffed the stat sheet this season as the freshman averaged 13.9 points per contest while shooting a team-best 35.2% from behind the arc. The Belgium guard also led the team with 55 steals while collecting 5.1 rebounds per game and dishing out 3.5 assists per contest.
Brandon Ivery paced the Aggies with 17.1 points per game. In addition to his scoring, Ivery averaged 5.3 rebounds per contest and tallied 32 steals.
The Aggies recorded an impressive 20-9 overall record this season. Murray State plays in the Region 2 Tournament on Wednesday at 8:00 p.m. in Muskogee.
