Aggies bomb Jets early, cruise to victory

Riding their best first-half offensive performance in more than three weeks, the Murray State Aggies raced to a massive edge at intermission and cruised from there for a 73-42 verdict over Northern Oklahoma-Enid on Friday night in Tishomingo.

The Aggies ran their record to 19-6 on the season as well as 8-4 in conference with crucial road tilts on tap next week at Redlands on Monday night and NEO next Thursday.

Elijah Tshibangu pumped in 11 points and Rustin Coffey added eight before intermission, spurring Murray State to a commanding 37-17 advantage.

The second half was much the same story as the Aggies tallied a 36-25 scoring cushion over the final 20 minutes, fueled by a big half from Isaac Jones, who notched 13 points following the break.

Tshibangu poured in 20 points with Jones contributing a season-high 14 for the contest. Bol Agu tossed in 11, Coffey finished with eight, RJ Chatman and Chanon Frye each scored six, Abeeng Agot and Ignas Juskevicius added three each with Devon MacCollister also picking up two points.
