CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Murray State College men's basketball team has earned its first national ranking of the season, debuting at No. 25 in the latest NJCAA Division I Men's Basketball Top 25 Poll released Monday, December 15.

After receiving votes last week and also earlier in the season, the Aggies officially cracked the rankings following a strong start and a résumé that continues to gain national recognition. Murray State enters the poll with an 11-3 overall record, placing the Aggies among the nation's top programs.

One of the highlights of Murray State's season came on the road with an impressive victory over then-No. 10 Cowley College, a win that remains significant as Cowley is ranked No. 20 in this week's poll.

Murray State has been dominant against Region 5 NTJCAC (North Texas Athletic Junior College Athletic Conference) opponents, posting a 7-0 record that includes two wins each over Collin College, Ranger College, and Grayson College, along with a victory over Weatherford College. The Aggies' success within the region has played a major role in their rise into the national rankings.

The Week 6 poll is topped by Snow College, Vincennes University, and Midland College, all of whom remain unbeaten. Murray State's inclusion at No. 25 marks another milestone for the program as the Aggies continue to build momentum heading into Region 2 play.
