PLANO, Texas – The Murray State College men's basketball team responded with a hard-fought victory over Southeast Arkansas Community College on Day 2 of the Collin College Thanksgiving Classic, 91-84.

The Aggies controlled the early tempo but found themselves in a physical, back-and-forth battle throughout the first half. Murray State took a 36–33 lead into the break thanks to steady defensive pressure and ten points apiece from Aymen Kraria and Haki Muhammad II.

The Aggies came out on fire in the early stages of the second half to build a 51-36 lead less than three minutes into the stanza. The Sharks battled back and would eventually cut the lead to five late in the game. However, the Aggies were able to get enough stops and convert from the free-throw line when it mattered most.

Murray State's balanced scoring proved pivotal. While Muhammad poured in a team-high 30 points, Abeeng Agot added 17 points as he attacked the paint and provided crucial energy on both ends of the floor. Aymen Kraria delivered a double double with 12 points and 12 rebounds, while Ashton Smith added 11 points including a pair of treys.

Domantas Sarauskas, Tayesen Combs, and Malachi Schilreff each added six points, while Devon MacCollister and Kristupas Grybas scored two points apiece.

With the win, the Aggies improve to 8-3 on the season.

Murray State College will look to carry this momentum into their home contest Dec. 3 against Ranger College. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m.
