Haki Muhammad II was Named Region 2 Player of the Week

SEMINOLE, Okla. – Murray State College guard Haki Muhammad II has been named NJCAA Region 2 Player of the Week, capping a standout stretch in which he powered the Aggies to three wins while delivering some of the most efficient perimeter shooting in the region.
 
Across three victories (Cowley College, Grayson College, and Collin College), Muhammad II averaged 19.7 points, 3.7 rebounds, and shot a blistering 50% from three-point range (12-of-24). He posted a 42.6% mark from the field (20-of-47) and an impressive 87.5% at the free-throw line (7-of-8), showcasing his versatility as both a scorer and a late-game closer.
 
His week was highlighted by a signature performance in a road win over No. 10 Cowley College, where he erupted for 25 points, knocking down timely threes and stabilizing the Aggies' offense in one of their toughest environments of the season.

One the season, Muhammad is averaging a team-best 19.1 points per game. The Murray State College men's basketball team is currently 7-2 on the season.

UP NEXT
The Aggies will travel to Texas to play against No. 23 New Mexico College and Southeast Arkansas College on Friday and Saturday. Both games are slated for a 5 p.m. start.
