Lady Aggies Advance to Region 2 Semifinals with Win Over Jets

Murray State defeated NOC-Enid in the first round of the Region 2 Tournament

ENID, Okla. - The Murray State College Lady Aggies opened Region 2 Tournament play in strong fashion, defeating Northern Oklahoma College - Enid, 2-0, on Thursday.
 
Daniela Sandoval gave the Lady Aggies an early boost, finding the back of the net in the 10th minute to put MSC ahead 1-0. The momentum continued later in the first half when Jasmyn Jackson doubled the lead in the 29th minute, finishing a well-placed assist from Kylie Noll.
 
The Lady Aggies' defense held firm the rest of the way, keeping NOC - Enid off the scoreboard and securing the clean sheet to move on in postseason play.

Coach Winning praised his team's effort and resilience following the Lady Aggies' postseason victory, saying, "Amazing result against a very competitive NOC Enid team. Our ladies have went above and beyond expectations this year and it is great to see them put in a complete performance on the biggest stage."
 
With the win, Murray State advances to face top-seeded Seminole State tomorrow in the Region 2 semifinals. The match is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
