Sam Winning

Coach Sam Winning enters his first season as the head men's and women's soccer coach at Murray State College. 

Winning comes to Tishomingo from Felician University where he served as the Top assistant coach for the men's soccer team which achieved a NCAA D2 Quarterfinal appearance in 2024 and also won the CACC Conference Tournament in the same year.

Prior to Felician, Winning was the men's soccer head coach at Presentation College in South Dakota. He previously spent two seasons as an assistant coach at the University of Jamestown in North Dakota and is the current NPSL head coach of the semi-professional Dakota Fusion FC. Winning is currently pursuing his USSF B License.

The Dundee, Scotland, native began his collegiate goalkeeping career at Union College in Kentucky, helping the Bulldogs to the 2016 Appalachian Athletic Conference title, before playing his final two seasons at Florida Southern College.

Winning earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Florida Southern in 2020 and completed his masters in business leadership at Jamestown in 2022. He resides in Durant with his wife, Juliana and newborn daughter, Laila.
