GULFPORT, Miss. – Murray State College men's golf ended its remarkable fall season with a statement victory at the Charles Cooper Classic, held October 27–28 at Windance Country Club in Gulfport, Mississippi. The Aggies tied No. 1-ranked Mississippi Gulf Coast at +14 after three rounds of play, then went on to defeat the Bulldogs in a dramatic 10-man playoff to claim the team title.

Murray State showed impressive consistency throughout the tournament, carding rounds of +2, +11, and +1 for the three-day total. The win marked one of the program's biggest achievements to date, as the Aggies took down the defending national champions on their home course.

Tallentire's final-round 66 sealed his first collegiate victory. Shashank Koirala joined him in the top five, finishing tied for fourth at +1, while Joss Lopez and Callum Hook both finished tied for 39th at +13. Rhys English rounded out the team scoring at +24 (T71).

Murray State's playoff win over top-ranked Mississippi Gulf Coast not only secured the team title but also reinforced the Aggies' growing reputation as one of the premier programs in NJCAA Division II golf.

Coach Coppedge reflected on a memorable finish to the fall season, praising his team's resilience and highlighting a historic moment for the program stating, "I am incredibly proud to finish the fall season how we did. Connor getting his first win in the US. to cap off an incredible fall season. This might be the best win in program history. Beating Mississippi Gulf Coast in a 10-man playoff was great experience for the players and team. I am very excited for this team and I am looking forward to the spring season."
