TISHOMINGO, Okla. - The Murray State College women's soccer team picked up a hard-fought Region 2 victory this afternoon over Eastern Oklahoma State College, 1-0.

Before the match, the Murray State College women's soccer sophomores - Alanna Gonzales, Bridie Thompson, Mckayla Rios, and Emma Sturm - were honored for their dedication and hard work wearing the Lady Aggie uniform.

After a scoreless first half, Daniela Sandoval broke the deadlock in the 54th minute with a stunning strike from distance that found the back of the net. The Lady Aggies' defense held strong the rest of the way, keeping the Mountaineers off the board to secure the shutout win.

"This was a great way to end our home run with a win and a clean sheet," said Coach Winning. "This is a great platform to take us into playoffs."

With the victory, Murray State continues to build momentum as they head into their final regular season match. The Lady Aggies will travel to Arkansas on Wednesday to face the University of Arkansas - Rich Mountain. The match is set for a 2:00 p.m. start.
