TISHOMINGO, Okla. - Murray State College Head Baseball Coach, Sam Bjorling, announced the addition of former Aggie baseball player, Tim O'Connor, to the Murray State College coaching staff. O'Connor was a left-handed pitcher on the 2022 Aggie baseball team that made the NJCAA Division II World Series.

"I am extremely excited to be bringing Tim O'Connor back to The Ranch," said Coach Bjorling. "Tim is a very detail oriented and knowledgeable young coach. Even as a player, it was obvious his playing days were just going to be a training ground for his coaching career. Tim brings an infectious energy and enthusiasm everyday & will be a great leader and mentor for our players. Tim will be a jack of all trades and wear a lot of hats for us including working with the pitchers, working with individual defensive groups and will help oversee the team speed, strength & conditioning."

After playing at Murray State College, O'Connor played two seasons at Northwestern State University and graduated with academic honors in 2024.

The former Aggie also found time to coach during the summers. O'Connor served as the Pitching Coordinator in the Premier Collegiate Developmental League this summer and worked as both a Strength and Performance Coach & Travel Baseball Coach during his summers at Murray State College.

Coach Bjorling continued on the importance of hiring a former Aggie when he said, "Coach O'Connor understands the high standards that we have for ourselves here and will be awesome at teaching our group what it means to Let It Loose & play Aggie baseball."

O'Connor grew up in Worcester, Massachusetts, and was a three-year letterman for Worcester Academy.
