After dropping two spots in the national rankings despite going undefeated, the ninth-rated Murray State Aggies put on an offensive onslaught to topple Northern Oklahoma College-Enid, 7-2, in conference soccer action Tuesday afternoon in Tishomingo.
Now 10-0 on the season and 7-0 in league play, Coach Alex Morais' Aggies will be back on the road Friday at Connors State and then return home Sunday to face off with Rose State College.
The barrage started early on for the Murray State offense and when the damn broke with the first goal from
Shuto Ishikawa off a
Gustavo Ursino assist at the 22-minute mark it was an avalanche the rest of the half.
Ishikawa fed
Philipp Federer for the next tally in the 11
th minute and Ishikawa scored unassisted just 12 seconds later for the squad's third goal.
It was a hat trick less than two minutes later for Ishikawa, who found the back of the net off a Federer assist. Murray State tacked on one more score before half when Federer got free for his second goal with a
Matias Bauza assist.
Felipe Alcantara got in on the scoring from Federer's second assist in the game's 64
th minute. The Aggies final goal was scored by
Alexis Lopez from a
Thomas Weir feed.
Murray State ended with 13 shots on goal for the game, in addition to the seven goals that found the net.
