Tim O'Connor

Coach Tim O’Connor begins his third season coaching at Murray State after a successful 2026 season. O’Connor serves in a variety of roles on the Aggie coaching staff including overseeing all of the Aggie strength & conditioning, recruiting, coaching the outfielders, and his biggest role working with Pitching Coach Justin Eclavea & the Aggie pitching staff. 
 
In 2026, O'Connor helped guide the Aggies to a 43-13 overall record, a Region 2 West Regular-Season Championship, and a run in the Region 2 Tournament Championship game. Working with the pitching staff, outfielders, strength and conditioning program, and recruiting efforts, he played an important role in a season that saw the Aggies record 481 strikeouts while continuing the program's tradition of success on and off the field.

In 2025, the Aggie pitchers had 503 strikeouts which ranked sixth best in the nation & the second highest in program history. 2025 also saw Aggie pitcher Cash Kuiper drafted & signed in the 12th Round of the MLB Draft by the Detroit Tigers.
 
During the summer of 2025, Coach O’Connor served as the Pitching Coach for the Cotuit Kettleers in the prestigious Cape Cod Baseball League. The Kettleers had an outstanding summer reaching the Western Conference finals, falling one game shy of the Cape Cod Championship series. Under Coach O’Connor, the Kettleers pitching staff had the 2nd lowest ERA, lowest WHIP, and lowest batting average against in the Cape Cod League.
 
O’Connor began his coaching career during his summers at the Premier Pitching & Performance Facility in St. Louis, MO where he served as the Director of Pitching for the Premier Collegiate Development League.
 
O’Connor returned to Murray State College after the completion of a successful and accoladed college playing career. O’Connor, a LHP, began his playing career at Murray State as a member of the 2021 & 2022 Aggie teams. The 2022 team reached the NJCAA II World Series. During his career as an Aggie O’Connor was used both as a starting pitcher and as a member of the bullpen. He struck out 71 batters in 60 IP during his playing career as an Aggie. He graduated from Murray State College with an Associates in Arts & Sciences.
 
After his time in Tishomingo, O’Connor pitched 2 seasons at NCAA Division 1 Northwestern State in Louisiana. Where he graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor's Degree in General Studies.
