Coach Houchin enters her second year as an Assistant Men's and Women's Soccer Coach after joining the program in August 2025.
During her first season, Houchin helped guide the women's team to the Region 2 Tournament semifinals and assisted the men's team in earning another NJCAA National Tournament appearance. She also led goalkeeper training sessions, drawing on her experience as a collegiate goalkeeper.
In addition to her coaching responsibilities, Houchin has more than 700 hours of athletic training experience, assisting with injury treatment and rehabilitation across multiple sports. She continues to support Murray State's athletic training staff by working alongside Athletic Trainer, Rhonda Wood, and assisting student-athletes across campus.
Houchin began her collegiate career at the University of the Ozarks, where she earned Honorable Mention All-Conference honors after leading the conference in saves. She also received the All-ASC USC Ethics and Sportsmanship Award. After transferring to Stephens College, she became a versatile utility player, earning the NAIA Champion of Character Award while collecting numerous academic honors. She was also recognized as Community Service Athlete of the Year and finished her collegiate career by contributing to the softball team during her senior year.
Houchin graduated from Stephens College in May 2025 and is pursuing a master's degree in Sports Administration through Grand Canyon University while continuing to help lead the Aggie men's and women's soccer programs to greater success.
