Casey Stafford begins his first season as Murray State's Academic Team coach. Last season, he served as an assistant coach for the Academic Team as they finished 2nd and 4th at the National Community College Championship Tournament.
As a player, Casey was a 2-time state champion at Bridge Creek Public Schools before continuing on to captain the Academic Team at Bradley University (Peoria, IL) to their best-ever performances at the 2020 and 2022 Sectional Championship Tournaments.
Casey holds a B.A. in History from Bradley University and an M.A. in International Studies from the University of Washington, Seattle. He also serves as an international liaison and government instructor at Murray State.
