TISHOMINGO, Okla. - The Murray State College men's soccer team earned a thrilling 4-3 victory over Rose State College Wednesday, scoring the game-winning goal late while playing with just 10 men.

The Aggies and Raiders battled to a 1-1 tie through the opening 45 minutes, setting up a wild second half that featured five goals.

Murray State opened the second-half scoring when Caio Carneiro Teixeira found the back of the net to put the Aggies in front.

Rose State answered to even the match, but Murray State quickly regained the advantage. Ryuta Sasaki scored to give the Aggies a 3-2 lead.

The Raiders responded once again, scoring in the 84th minute to tie the match at 3-3.

With Murray State down to 10 men, the Aggies continued to battle for the deciding goal. Sasaki came through in a huge moment, dribbling through the Rose State defense before sliding the ball into the corner past the goalkeeper to give Murray State the 4-3 lead.

The Aggies held on through the final minutes to secure the hard-fought victory.

Sasaki finished with two goals, including the game-winning goal, while Carneiro Teixeira and Tom Perrin also found the back of the net for Murray State.

The Aggies return to the pitch on Sunday as they square off against Northwest Arkansas Community College in Bentonville, Arkansas. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m.
