SENATOBIA, Miss. - The Murray State College women's golf team won the Lady Ranger Invitational Championship, finishing atop a competitive field and holding off Shelton State Community College to claim the team title. The victory marked a significant result for the Lady Aggies as Shelton State, the two-time reigning NJCAA National Champions, suffered its first loss to an NJCAA Division II opponent in their school history.
 
Murray State College finished the tournament at +86, while Shelton State finished second at +92, giving the Lady Aggies a six-stroke advantage at the conclusion of the tournament.
 
The Lady Aggies were led individually by Amiya Raja, who finished fourth overall at +10. Raja opened the tournament with a 3-over-par round before posting a 7-over round in the second round and an even-par final round.
 
Hana Cunnane followed with a seventh-place finish at **+23**, recording rounds of 7-over, 3-over and 13-over.
 
Murray State also placed three golfers inside the top fifteen. Enora Castillon finished at +29 (12th place), while Alida Lie and Hadley Hill each finished at +30 (13th place). Castillon posted rounds of 6-over, 10-over and 13-over, Lie recorded rounds of 8-over, 8-over and 13-over, and Hill finished with rounds of 12-over, 11-over and 7-over.
 
The Lady Aggies will look to carry the momentum from the huge tournament victory as they travel to New Mexico for the Poss High County Shootout on September 21-22.
