NORMAN, Okla. - Murray State College men's golfer -
Luca Bordoni - has been named a 2025-26 NJCAA Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar, recognizing his outstanding achievements both on the golf course and in the classroom.
The prestigious honor, presented by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA), is awarded to student-athletes who demonstrate excellence in academics, athletics, and character. Bordoni was one of just 21 NJCAA Division I and II student-athletes from 10 schools nationwide to earn the distinction during the 2025-26 academic year.
To qualify for the award, recipients must be in their final year of NJCAA athletic eligibility while earning their associate's degree, compete in at least 50 percent of their team's competitive rounds, maintain a stroke average below 77.0, and achieve a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2. Student-athletes must also be of high moral character and remain in good standing at their institution.
Bordoni played a key role in another historic season for the Aggies, helping lead Murray State College to the 2026 NJCAA Division II National Championship. His consistency on the course, combined with his commitment to academic success, exemplifies the standards of excellence that define Murray State College student-athletes.
The NJCAA Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar award recognizes student-athletes who embody the ideal of balancing elite athletic performance with academic achievement, making Bordoni's selection among the nation's top junior college golfers another significant accomplishment for the Murray State College men's golf program.
