ARDMORE and TISHOMINGO, Okla. – The 2025-26 athletic season will be remembered as one of the greatest years in the history of Murray State College athletics, as Aggie teams captured championships, earned national recognition and advanced to postseason appearances across nearly every sport.

From regional titles to national trophies, Murray State College continued to establish itself as one of the country's premier junior college athletic programs.

During the 2025-26 campaign, the Aggies and Lady Aggies captured five Region 2 Regular Season Championships, with titles in baseball, men's basketball, men's soccer, women's basketball and softball.

Postseason play brought even more success. Murray State claimed Region 2 Tournament Championships in men's golf, men's soccer, women's golf and softball, further solidifying the college's reputation for athletic excellence.

The year was highlighted by a historic run from the Aggie men's golf team, which won the NJCAA Division II National Championship — the first national title in program history. The Aggies led the tournament from start to finish and secured the championship by seven strokes at Swan Lake Golf Resort in Plymouth, Indiana. Freshman Connor Tallentire also claimed two individual national titles after finishing the tournament at 1-under-par.

National championships were not limited to the golf course. The Murray State College Shotgun Team captured the ACUI Division IV National Championship, while the Aggie Bass Fishing Team earned a National Championship to add to the college's growing list of national titles during the 2025-26 season.

The Lady Aggies women's golf team added to the historic season with one of the best finishes in program history, earning national runner-up honors at the NJCAA National Tournament.

Murray State College's Academic Team also enjoyed a remarkable season on the national stage, earning National Runner-Up honors at the Intercollegiate Championship Tournament while showcasing the college's commitment to excellence both in competition and in the classroom.

On the softball field, the Lady Aggies finished third at the World Series following a standout season that included both the Region 2 regular-season and tournament championships.

Several other Aggie programs also made appearances at national championship competitions during the 2025-26 season, including men's and women's cross country, men's soccer, and men's and women's wrestling.

"The 2025-26 season represents a historic achievement for Murray State College athletics," said Dr. Tim Faltyn, Murray State College President. "Our student-athletes, coaches and staff demonstrated an incredible commitment to excellence throughout the year, and their accomplishments brought tremendous pride to Aggie Nation. From conference championships to national success, this season reflects the culture, work ethic and determination that continue to define Murray State College athletics."
