NORMAN, Okla. — The Murray State College men's golf program continues to receive accolades after winning the 2026 Division II National Championship, highlighted by multiple national honors announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA).
Leading the way for the Aggies was
Connor Tallentire, who capped off a remarkable season by not only earning All-America recognition but also claiming the NJCAA Division II Individual National Championship. Tallentire's championship run solidified his place as one of the premier golfers in the country and earned him First Team Ping All-America honors.
Joining him on the First Team was sophomore standout
Shashank Koirala. Koirala's honors placed him among the top five players in the nation at the NJCAA Division II level. Koirala's consistent play throughout the season made him a cornerstone of Murray State's success on the national stage.
The Aggies' depth was further showcased with two additional players receiving national recognition.
Joss Lopez and
Keegan Westlake were both named Honorable Mention All-Americans, highlighting the strength and balance of the Murray State lineup. Having four players recognized across multiple All-America teams underscores the program's ability to develop high-level talent and compete with the nation's best.
Murray State was the most represented program on the All-America list as they had two times as many student-athletes receive the PING All-American status as any other college.
These honors are awarded in partnership with PING, a company synonymous with innovation in golf. Since its founding in 1959 by Karsten Solheim, PING has played a major role in advancing the game through groundbreaking equipment design and engineering excellence. The All-America recognition bearing the PING name adds further prestige to the accomplishments of Murray State's golfers.
