LAKE TEXOMA, Okla. – The Murray State College Bass Fishing Team turned in a championship performance this past weekend at Round 4 of the Oklahoma College BASS Championship on Lake Texoma, earning a major victory and strengthening its hold on the overall season standings. This is the fifth consecutive victory for the Aggie Anglers.

Leading the way for the Aggies were Riley Motrych and Carl Robbins, who captured first place with an impressive two-day combined catch of 32.40 pounds. Their consistency and execution across both days allowed them to top a competitive field and bring home the tournament title. The duo's strong performance not only secured the championship trophy but also provided a significant boost in the team's race for the overall points crown.

The victory marks a key moment in the season for Murray State, as the Aggies extended their lead in the Oklahoma College BASS Championship standings heading into the final event. With just one tournament remaining, the team now sits in a strong position to contend for the season-long championship and will look to maintain its momentum in the closing round.

The event featured several top collegiate programs from across Oklahoma, creating a highly competitive environment on the water. Schools competing alongside Murray State included Northeastern State University, Southeastern Oklahoma State University, Oklahoma State University, and Oklahoma Christian University. The strong field made the Aggies' victory even more impressive.

The Murray State College bass fishing team returns to the waters Feb. 25-26 for the Sam Ryburn Tournament, which will be held in Jasper, Texas.
