TISHOMINGO, Okla. - The Murray State College men's soccer team battled the University of Arkansas Rich Mountain to a 1-1 draw Wednesday afternoon.

Murray State took a 1-0 lead in the 29th minute when Caio Carneiro Teixeira delivered a strike from just outside the penalty area, sending the ball into the left corner of the goal. The goal gave the Aggies momentum as they carried their one-goal advantage into halftime.

UA Rich Mountain responded early in the second half, converting a penalty kick in the 51st minute to even the match at 1-1.

Both teams exchanged scoring opportunities throughout the remainder of the contest, but the Murray State defense held firm as the Aggies earned the draw against the Bucks.

The Aggies return to the pitch next week for the last regular season match of the season. Next week's tilt against Connors State College will also be their Sophomore Day match.
