TISHOMINGO, Okla. — The Murray State College women's wrestling team celebrated Sophomore Day in style, earning a 36–17 home dual victory over NOC–Tonkawa.
Before the match, the Murray State College women's wrestling sophomores -
Kaylee Davis,
Addison Polk,
Amaya Rubalcado, and
Olivia Sandoval - were honored for their dedication and hard work wearing the Lady Aggie uniform.
After NOC–Tonkawa opened the dual with a fall at 103 pounds, Murray State responded quickly as
Dixie Holliday secured a pin in 1:45 at 110, followed by
Addison Polk's fall in 1:40 at 117 to swing momentum in favor of the Lady Aggies.
MSC continued to control the dual through the middle weights.
Sofia Hernandez picked up a 10–3 decision at 138, and
Adrianna Chronister battled to an 11–9 decision at 145 to extend the Aggies' lead in front of the home crowd.
At 160 pounds,
Gabby Akers recorded a lightning-fast fall less than a minute into the match. Murray State added crucial points with a forfeit victory by
Kaylee Davis at 180 and capped the night with a fall by
Jordyn Wilson at 207.
The Lady Aggies closed the dual with a forfeit win by
Jordan Bread at 235, securing the 36–17 team victory and a memorable Sophomore Day celebration.
The Aggies travel to Utah to compete in the National Duals on January 24th.
