Box Score WILBURTON, Okla. - The Murray State College men's soccer team showed its resilience on the road Sunday, salvaging a 1-1 draw against Eastern Oklahoma State College thanks to a dramatic equalizer in the closing seconds.

Eastern Oklahoma State struck first in the opening half, breaking through the Aggie defense to take a 1-0 lead into the break. Despite multiple second-half pushes, Murray State was unable to break through until Contrera's late-game heroics.

With just 27 seconds remaining in regulation, sophomore forward Dariel Contrera delivered the clutch moment for the Aggies. Collecting a pass well outside the left edge of the box, Contrera lofted a ball that floated over the Eastern goalkeeper and tucked neatly into the top right corner of the net, sending the Murray State sideline into celebration.

The draw marks an important Region 2 result for the Aggies, who hold the top spot in the standings at 4-0-1. Coach Winning said after the game, "We faced a competitive opponent today and it took all the time we had to break through. Focus now shifts on to Wednesday."

The Aggies will look to build on the momentum when they return home for their next match against the University of Arkansas - Rich Mountain on Wednesday. The Region 2 tilt is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
