TISHOMINGO, Okla. – Murray State College men's soccer earned an emphatic 8-0 victory over Connors State College on Wednesday, marking the first career win for head coach Sam Winning. The Aggies controlled the match from start to finish, showcasing an explosive attack and strong defensive presence.
Dariel Contrera sparked the offense early, scoring in the 3rd minute and adding another in the 13th.
Rodrigo Casimiro extended the lead with a 16th-minute strike, followed by a goal from
Masimba Bare in the 25th.
Miguel Santos found the net just before halftime in the 39th minute, giving the Aggies a commanding advantage going into the break.
In the second half, Murray State continued its dominant form.
Daniel Minhas converted in the 58th minute, while
Giosue Ramina tallied in the 68th. Contrera capped his hat trick with a 70th-minute goal, sealing the Aggies' impressive victory.
"We dictated the game from the first minute and had many different players contribute to the scoring today," said Coach Winning. "It is always great to keep a clean sheet. This was a complete team performance, which steers us into the right direction for our game against NEO on Sunday"
With the win, Coach Winning also secured his first career victory at the helm of Murray State. The Aggies improve to 1-1-1.
Murray State will be back in action for a road matchup with Northeastern Oklahoma A&M on Sunday.
