Box Score TISHOMINGO, Okla. - The No. 12 Murray State College men's soccer opened its 2025 season at home on Thursday evening but came up short, falling 4-1 to Western Texas College.

The Aggies held their own in a scoreless first half, keeping Western Texas off the board and creating chances to take the lead.

The visitors broke through quickly after the break, however, scoring twice in the first ten minutes of the second half to take control. Western Texas later added a third goal to stretch the lead to 3-0.

Murray State continued to fight, though, when the Aggies responded with a goal to make it 3-1. The momentum, however, was brief, as Western Texas responded with a fourth goal late in the game to put the match out of reach and secure the 4-1 result for the Westerners.

The Aggies will look to regroup quickly and build on the positives as they move forward in nonconference play. Murray State will travel to Texas to take on Paris College this Sunday at 3:30 p.m.
