TISHOMINGO, Okla. - Each week during the 2024-25 academic year, the Murray State College Athletic Department highlights a student-athlete for a Q&A "Student-Athlete Spotlight" Segment. This week's Student-Athlete Spotlight features
Brylee Fanning from the Murray State College softball team. Fanning has helped her team to a perfect 12-0 record and the No. 3 ranking in the NJCAA Top 25 Preseason Poll in her first season at Murray State.
Earlier this week, Fanning was named the Region 2 Player of the Week. On the season, Fanning is batting .575 with a team-best 23 hits, 22 runs scored, and 7 long balls. The Lady Aggie has also tallied 19 RBIs through the first 12 games of the year.Â

The Murray State College softball team returns to action this weekend. On Saturday, the Lady Aggies host No. 22 Hutchinson Community College in a doubleheader. The following day, Murray State squares off against Northeast Community College for a pair of games. First pitch on both days is set for noon.Â
