Coach Mayfield was proud of the effort from his young team stating, "The duals were technically exhibitions but I felt like for most athletes it was our very first college matches. I felt like we wrestled hard and competed well. We won some matches we were not expected to win. We still have a lot of work to do but we are young and very hungry. I'm excited and extremely proud of how we competed last night. Looking forward to the adjustments we make for next weekend!"
Â
Both Murray State squads will travel to Iowa to compete in the Luther Hill Open. The Open is set to take place on Nov. 1 beginning at 9 a.m.
