The Murray State Lady Aggies picked up where they left off a year ago with a solid start under new head coach Alex Morais by tossing a 3-0 shutout win over Paris Junior College at home on Friday.

Returnees Cristina Escudero and Celine Loraine as well as Germany newcomer Emilia Zanetti each found the back of the net with goals and Zanetti also notched an assist in the contest.

Murray State's defensive unit was stifling once again as sophomore Takielia Griffiths pitched a shutout in her first start in goal.

The Lady Aggies jump into the thick of conference play in their next action set for Saturday, August 31 at Northern Oklahoma College in Enid before returning home September 4 against Connors State.
