TISHOMINGO, Okla. – Not only has the fall semester been extremely successful for the Murray State College athletics teams on their respective playing surfaces, but the Aggie student-athletes have also excelled in the classroom. The Murray State College Athletics Department recorded a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.34 for the fall 2024 semester.
Nine different Aggie athletic teams had a combined GPA above 3.0. Four programs had a team GPA of 3.5 or higher, including women's golf (3.74), women's cross country (3.62), women's soccer (3.61) and men's soccer (3.51).
"A 3.34 GPA proves commitment to the classroom - something that we do not take lightly here at Murray State College," said Director of Athletics Brandon Bowling. "Being a full-time student and athlete is a major commitment, and this is an admirable achievement. Congrats to our student athletes, coaches, and professors. We do not get here without an intentional commitment to the academic success of our young men and women!"
