LAKE EUFAULA, Okla. – The Murray State College bass fishing team welcomed the top junior college teams from across the country to Oklahoma to compete in the JUCO National Championships over the last two days. The Aggies dominated the competition as they led from wire-to-wire to take home the National Championship trophy.
The Murray State College duo of
Sam Sutter and
Shaden Farley won first place, while the team of
Cade Smith and
Axel Pierce earned third place for the Aggies.
"This group is special," said
Coach Owen. "They have come together all season and worked as a team to achieve their goals.
Sam Sutter and
Shaden Farley pulled off the win for us with
Cade Smith and
Axel Pierce grabbing 3rd. This team is going home as National Champions, and I couldn't be happier for them. As their Coach, I couldn't ask for more."
The Murray State College Bass Fishing Team will return to action Dec. 7 for the Oklahoma College Bass Championship in Tenkiller Ferry, Oklahoma.
