SIOUX CENTER, Iowa. – Skye Vaca had it all working at The Ridge Golf Club this afternoon as she recorded Murray State College's lowest round of golf in five years. Vaca scored an impressive 21 strokes better in her final round today than she fared on day one of the Siouxland Invitational as she carded a 79.

However, the freshman from Ardmore was not the only Aggie that showed improvement from Day 1 to Day 2. Averyl Bell trimmed six shots off her score when she recorded a final-round 88 today. Addison Pettett drained a putt on her final hole of the day to finish five strokes better than she performed in the opening round of the tournament.

Tishomingo native, Cadence Merchant, continued the trend for the Lady Aggies as she recorded an 11-stroke improvement from the first 18 holes to her final round of the competition. Mackenzie Dreyer played consistently all tournament as she tapped in on the final hole to conclude her round.

"I am excited with how everyone played today," said Coach Luke Coppedge. "Since we were the only junior college team at this tournament, I am really happy with how our team battled against good NAIA and NCAA colleges."

Morningside University won the Siouxland Invitational, while Central College finished one stroke behind in second place.

The Murray State College women's golf team will be back in action Oct. 2-3 as they host the Fall Aggie Invite in Ardmore, Oklahoma.
