Women's soccer falls to Garden City

The Lady Aggie women's soccer team never could punch anything into the net against a rugged style imposed by Garden City Community College in a 2-0 loss to start the 2022 season on Saturday.

Coach Gary Akin's club controlled the ball offensively through a large portion of the second half but were never able to finish off a bevy of solid scoring opportunities.

"We have to do better on finishing when we get those chances," Akin said. "While it wasn't the result we wanted, we did see some positive things and will build off those as we look toward Hill College this week and opening region play this weekend."

Murray State's next outing is set for Tuesday against the visitors from Hill College starting at 2 p.m.
